Burton Injuries.....

I was wondering if someone could give us an update on the injuries that are currently hampering the Raiders bid to win its fourth straight regional championship.

Here is what I was told today and if anyone knows otherwise please correct me.

Jaymil Sensabaugh - Heard that Dr's told him that his injury might be a little more serious than just a dislocated shoulder, may be some torn tendons with a chance at being knocked out for the rest of the season.

Skylar Peters - Maybe wyattap can clarify this but I was told that he had 16 stitches in his chin/throat area and that he would be out 2-4 weeks to completely heal, if not then everytime he gets hit (chin strap) it will bust open the stitches and bleed nonstop.

Will Godsey - Heard today also that his deep thigh bruise might be a little more serious and was suppose to go for a MRI because it might be a torn quad, which if that was the case he would be out for the season.

I hope all these are just rumors from someone who doesn't know what they are talking about about but I don't think so. If anyone knows please correct me because I hope I am wrong. If I am not wrong, there is no way that the Raiders make out of the region this year with that many key players injured.

Wow...I love rumors, almost none of what you heard is right. Sensabaugh will be back for playoffs, but may need surgery after the season. Nothing was torn, doctor's just want to do surgery to tighten everything up since the same shoulder's been dislocated a couple of times. Peters did not have 16 stitches, it was more like 5 or 6, and the stitches should be removed before playoffs even start. Cuts like that normally only take about a week to heal. Godsey I don't know about yet but given how far off everything else you heard was, he may not be too serious either.

You got them right Raiderfan, cept Will's is a thigh bruise and he will play. Coache Adams is breaking out some Big ol thigh pads he said Wyattyap and Sam Daniels used to wear, there huge.

You must have got some bad info Skulls because all should be good for the playoffs, but you know how rumors fly, I heard some of the same yesterday.

Sky gets his stitches out on the 12th,he has 8 of them,it took the er nurse 45min to dig pieces of his chinstrap out of his chin,a wristband over his chinstrap will do the trick,ankle more of a concern,still swollen pretty bad,but imo and his he will be ready for the 1st round,going to let the UVA-WISE trainers rehab it and tape him sat.I believe everybody will be back sat. except for Coleman of course.Guys when u lose your two leading tacklers,and your leading rusher,and leading pass reciever,especially at a school burtons size it absolutely kills you.If we can hobble by CW we will be at Salem,because R.R. nor Bland has nothing we cant handle IMO of course!!!!!
